Head of Branding & Marketing 2020-2022

GroCharity Events is an event planning and organizational development company that serves BIPOC-led/serving nonprofit organizations.

  • Managed branding for GroCharity Events to include website construction, logos, social media, and product branding for New Roots, The Visionaries of Color Nonprofit Summit, and Green Elephant. Additionally, provided branding services such as logo, website, and social media for nonprofit organizations.

  • Created the website, marketing, sponsorship decks, event gear for purchase, live-conference ads, lunch hour art creation and visual art curation, and virtual conference producer for the Visionaries of Color Nonprofit summit virtual conferences (Spring 2020, Fall 2020, and Spring 2021).

  • Developed the concept for the Green Elephant networking and knowledge-sharing platform, The Rumble newsletter branding and concept, and WeHerd to share connections to services.

Ms. Nix in the Mix is a lifestyle blog that began as a personal relationship blog in 2013 and expanded to business, entertainment, fashion, and politics with the voices of a diverse group of writers.

  • Oversaw the remodeling of the website, introduced #FEEDART and Glitterati Du Jour, and assisted in the management of the accounting for advertising.

  • Managed writers domestically and internationally, created and maintained the editorial calendar, promoted articles and products.

  • Created and managed social media pages on Twitter and Tumblr. creation and management created collateral recruitment material, and letterhead.

event & media relations director 2013-2014

The Atlanta Business Project was a multi-day business event and expo with the purpose of connecting start-ups with capital and exposure. The event has not occurred again since it’s the initial attempt.

  • Arranged communications with the Atlanta City Council President, Invest Atlanta, Office of Secretary of State of Georgia Brian Kemp, press outlets, and event speakers

  • Assisted the Event Curator with the run of the show for all three days, Event Design, and Workshop structure.

  • Managed social media and strategy and assigned social media tasks; Formed a relationship with an outside PR Firm for sponsorships. Reviewed Marketing material as created by the Event Curator.
