What About Us Inc. is a start-up non-profit based in New York City that creates the opportunity for foster youth to be artisans of their own stories. Transitioning foster youth ages 16-21 are provided mentoring, workshops, education to prevent negative outcomes that plague the New York City foster care system. Statistics are high for urban youth to become homeless, jobless, and not seek higher education or vocational opportunities. The organization is here to create sustainable and realistic approaches for foster care youth transitioning from independent living into adulthood.
